Lempikasvini puutarhassani ovat erilaiset Hostat. Niitä onkin seitsemän erilaista jo
ja varmasti tulee lisää niitä jossain vaiheessa.
Mutta tänä kesänä olikin jo pakko jakaa nämä kuvassa olevat,
alkavat ottaa niin paljon tilaa.

Toinen lemppari kasvi on isomaksaruoho ja komeamaksaruoho (hostan vieressä kuvassa). Niitäkin on jo kertynyt aikamoinen valikoima. Niitä vaan tuuppaa olemaan aika vaikea löytää, puutarhaliikkeissä on vaan niitä tavallisimmat. Mutta kannattaa sinnikkäästi etsiä ja kysellä niitä. Ovat hyvin helppohoitoisia. Ajattele, ennen vanhaan isomaksaruohoa keitettiin ja syötiin
m.m. kalan kanssa.

My favorite of all garden plants has got to be all the different sorts of Hosta´s.
I´ve got seven different kinds already but I´m sure more will find their way into my garden at some point.
This summer I had to start splitting them up, the ones in the photo have started to take up so much space.

My other favorite is sedum telephium (next to the hosta in the photo). I have a bunch of different kinds of them too, but they are quite difficult to get hold on cause in the garden shops they usually have just one sort. But it pays to be persistent in looking for them because they are so easy to maintaine. Think, in the old days they used to cook them and serve them with fish.
